The owners of Cloisters’ Inspirations, Carey and Nuala were invited to a ‘Themed Event’, yet were unable to find the costumes they wanted. There were costumes available at £30 - £40, but these were clearly mass produced and not of a very pleasing quality. They then looked into hiring their costumes, but quickly found that, to get the right costumes of good quality, they would have to pay between £80-£90 each!
Nuala decided to design and make their costumes as this would ensure that: a) they would have the costumes they wanted, b) the quality would be good, and c) their costumes would be totally unique. In addition to all of this they would also have their costumes forever, and could use them time and again.
Such was the impact when they attended the ‘Themed Event’ that Nuala received many requests for individual orders for costumes. Although she worked flat-out designing and creating, she soon realised that she needed additional machinists to help with the ever increasing demand. The business then went from strength to strength, building a reputation of individual customer service by providing quality costumes as realistic prices.
This all started five years ago, and they now create a wide variety of garments that cater for the Theatre, Themed Events, Weddings, Re-enactments, Fancy Dress, Stage, Balls, and more. Often, they are approached for bespoke costumes; a challenge they warmly welcome, as it is extremely satisfying to create something as unique as their customers are.
Cloisters Inspirations soon became known for quality, individuality, and an accommodating friendly service. It is, and will remain, a family business you can trust, and we will always endeavour to bring you superior garments that are as distinctive as you are.
